New: People Power – CorkVoices
How about allocating funds to awesome local community projects and making a positive impact at the click of a button?! Go on, we know you want to!
We are now live with our biggest participatory grant making campaign yet in Ireland. In Cork City. This is a grant programme where the public, people of Cork and beyond, will allocate part of a grant fund to community projects with a direct tangible positive impact.
In May, over 20 community groups sent in ideas of specific projects that they are fundraising for. 6 projects were shortlisted to pitch to the public and be part of a public vote.
The question is; which one will you choose? New growing boxes for the children in Mahon Family Centre, a suicide prevention event organised by Cork City youth group, an otter walk in Cork City centre, a radio campaign to raise awareness for GOLD coffee mornings – the Gay Project’s Older Gents Social Groups, workshops to support people in direct provision to live safe and independent lives after direct provision, or a bicycle bus in Ballincollig to help inspire more kids to safely cycle to school?
