Results: 2,443 vote on Water Refill.

In Environment, Plastic-free, Plastic-free Trinity, refill, Single-use Plastic, Trinity College Dublin, UN SDG #12

Thank you to everyone who voted and shared the campaign! The Trinity campaign lasted for 7 days and saw an overwhelming turnout with 2,443 students casting their votes.

By making water refill more accessible Trinity hopes that more reusable water bottles will be used. Reducing plastic footprint on campus significantly. The aim is a minimum environmental saving of 50,000 plastics bottle a year. Significant enough, right?!

This result is a positive step forward on Trinity’s journey of a campus free from single-use plastic.

The building which received the most votes from students was The Berkely Library with 1,091 votes. This was followed by The Hamilton Building and The Arts Building.

Thank you again for voting to bring about this change!
